Event Description
The Agnes Wadell Chagas Hiking Trail is an outdoor activity carried out in the Serra dos Pirineus State Park in the city of Cocalzinho de Goiás, organized by the Universidade Evangélica de Goiás (UniEVANGÉLICA). The Serra dos Pirineus State Park is an emblematic site because it is home to a unique Cerrado type of vegetation and is surrounded by soybeans and other crop plantations. The activity consists of a hiking trail involving political and cultural authorities, students from basic education and universities, teachers, monitors, and people from the neighboring community of Cocalzinho. During the hiking trail, there will be some stopping points with the explanation of historical and environmental issues related to the Pirineus region. This activity is done in partnership with the Instituto de Estudos Avançados from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP)
